Charities Lawyer

This client is one of the leading regional law practices in the South East and they are looking for a solicitor with a minimum of 5 years' recent charity experience who will be required to enhance the development of the burgeoning cross-departmental charity group. Applicants will have a proven track record of recent work advising charities, not for profit organisations, commercial organisations and social enterprises. Their work will include advising and assisting on issues such as;-

Charitable status
Establishment
Directors' and trustees' duties and responsibilities
Constitutional reviews and re-organisations
Governance, regulatory and compliance issues
Mergers, acquisitions and takeovers
Commercial agreements
E-commerce and on-line giving
Fundraising
Investment
All dealings with the Charity Commission

The appointment will suit someone within a role with a dedicated charities background who is seeking to reduce their work commitment to part-time or someone returning to work after a short career break.

The successful applicant will be expected to build upon the practice's growing reputation in this area and will involve working with and supervising less experienced team members.
