Services cover both high value specialist claims and smaller, less complex ones. In addition to this, the team provides advice on fraudulent claims and coverage disputes.

Core Responsibilities
Within this role you will be handling claims for self-insured clients (DHL Exel Supply Chain and BAE SYSTEMS plc) both in litigation and pre-litigation.
You will be undertaking on-site investigations and therefore must hold a valid driver's licence (access to own car is not essential).
Whilst the bulk of the work will be EL, PL and motor, there will also be disease work (no previous experience is necessary) and there may be the opportunity to be involved in safety, health and environment work and criminal motor prosecutions.
You wil also be involed in pre-litigation work which is carried out on a fixed fee basis and therefore you must be capable of working in a commercial manner consistent with operating within those fixed fee parameters. There is a great deal of interaction with the clients both on site and at regular claims review meetings. There will also be the opportunity to attend marketing events and participate in client training sessions.

Key Skills
You will have excellent relationship and client handling skills and be able to deal confidently and professionally with clients on day to day issues and demonstrate a reasonable level of self-sufficiency, combined with an awareness of the boundaries of own competence/authority.
You will also have the ability to adopt a commercial perspective rather than an 'academic' approach to legal issues and be team oriented and collegiate with a willingness to share knowledge with and support other members of the team.
This is a friendly and inclusive team with a strong emphasis on developing its people and providing them with a supportive and challenging work environment.
